Brunson - 5th Grade Parents/Guardians - Course Requests for Next Year

Course requests for next year's scheduling for upcoming 6th grade are going home today with students to be signed and approved by a parent or guardian. You will notice a QR code on the request form and also on this post.  Once scanned, information about the new state Course Choice program is available. Established by the LEARNS Act, Course Choice expands access to courses for students beyond what is offered at their resident school. Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, this program will increase opportunities for students to develop personalized educational pathways and graduate with the skills they need to become enrolled, employed, or enlisted.  Under this initiative, students enrolled at a public Arkansas school in grades 6-12 may take courses not offered at their resident school in a virtual setting at Warren Middle School if there is an open period available on the students' schedules.  Within the QR code folder, there is a Google form to request a code that will allow a parent or guardian to view what will be offered at Warren Middle School and to sign up for a virtual course.  Course Choice is completely optional.  *FORMS ARE DUE MAY 14.
